Pujaan para ABG itu mengalahkan penyanyi rap Eminem, yang meraih enam piala . . 

Penyanyi Justin Bieber berhasil memborong penghargaan dalam ajang Billboard Music Awards 2011. Dalam acara yang berlangsung di Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Minggu 22 Mei 2011 waktu setempat, pelantun 'Baby' itu sukses menggondol tujuh piala.

Bieber menang dalam kategori Top New Artist, Social Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Pop Album, Top Streaming Song (Video), Digital Artist of the Year, dan Fan Favorite Award.

"Saya berusia 17 tahun dan saya ingin berterimakasih kepada Tuhan karena dia sangat memberkati saya," ujar Bieber seperti dikutip dari laman Aceshowbiz.com, Senin 23 Mei 2011.

Sementara itu di urutan dua terdapat nama penyanyi rap Eminem. Penyanyi yang tenar berkat lagu 'The Real Slim Shady' itu meraih enam penghargaan untuk kategori Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, Top Rap Album, dan Top Rap Song. Meski demikian, Eminem tidak hadir dalam acara Billboard Music Awards 2011 untuk menerima penghargaan secara langsung.

Meski penyanyi wanita gagal mendominasi penghargaan, mereka tetap memboyong lebih dari satu piala. Penyanyi Ladi Gaga misalnya, ia memenangkan penghargaan untuk kategori Top Dance/Electronic Artist, Top Pop Artist, dan Top Dance/Electronic/Electronic Album. Sementara Rihanna berhasil mendapat penghargaan untuk kategori Top Female Artist dan Top Radio Song Artist.

Sementara itu, penyanyi country Taylor Swift hanya berhasil memboyong penghargaan untuk kategori Top Country Artist dan Top Country Album.
